Comprehensive Care. Compassionate Understanding.
Mental health does not exist separately from the rest of our lives. Our physical health, personal experiences, relationships, identities, and circumstances can all influence how we experience psychological distress and respond to treatment.
My approach to psychiatric care reflects this interconnectedness. Drawing on my background in both medical and psychiatric settings, I strive to understand the whole person rather than focusing exclusively on symptoms or diagnoses.
I believe effective treatment begins with listening, respecting individual experiences, and creating an environment where patients feel comfortable being themselves. My goal is to provide thoughtful, evidence-informed psychiatric care that recognizes each person's unique needs, circumstances, and treatment priorities.
What Working Together Looks Like
When we begin working together, I want to understand what has brought you to psychiatric care and how your concerns fit within the broader context of your life.
My background includes caring for individuals with acute psychiatric needs, substance use disorders, serious medical conditions, and complex combinations of physical and mental health concerns. These experiences have shaped my appreciation for the many factors that can influence emotional well-being.
During psychiatric evaluations, we'll discuss your symptoms, medical and psychiatric history, current circumstances, and treatment goals. When medication is appropriate, we'll explore available options and consider how they may fit with your overall health and individual needs.
I value collaborative treatment planning, open communication, and ongoing opportunities to evaluate progress and make adjustments.
Above all, I want patients to experience psychiatric care as a respectful partnership in which their questions, preferences, and identities are taken seriously.
Areas of Focus

Anxiety, depression, and persistent stress can affect how we think, feel, and engage with everyday life. Together, we can explore patterns contributing to emotional distress and develop practical approaches for managing difficult experiences, strengthening coping skills, and finding greater balance.
Mood &
Bipolar Disorders

Some individuals experience psychiatric difficulties alongside medical conditions, substance use histories, or other complicating factors. My clinical background has given me experience working with people facing overlapping challenges, reinforcing the importance of thorough assessment, individualized treatment, and coordinated care when appropriate.
Integrative Care

Develop a deeper understanding of who you are, how you've been shaped by your experiences, and the parts of yourself that may be waiting for greater recognition and expression.
Anxiety Disorders

Everyone deserves psychiatric care that respects their identity, experiences, and relationships. I am committed to providing an inclusive, affirming environment for LGBTQIA+ individuals, including transgender and gender-diverse patients, where mental health concerns can be discussed openly without judgment or assumptions.

Beginning Psychiatric Care
Seeking psychiatric care can involve sharing experiences that feel personal, complicated, or difficult to discuss. I recognize the importance of finding a provider with whom you feel comfortable and respected.
Whether you're seeking an initial psychiatric evaluation, exploring medication options, or continuing treatment, my goal is to provide care that is collaborative, informed, and responsive to your individual needs.
