ABOUT US
Welcome to Our Story Mental Health Services.
Anne Hofer | Owner, Nurse Practitioner PMHNP-BC, PMH-C
I have been a registered nurse since 2009 in a variety of settings including psychiatry, internal medicine, and pediatrics. I graduated in 2017 with my Masters in Nursing from the University of Nebraska Medical Center. Through my educational journey, I knew that I wanted to work within the field of reproductive psychiatry and have had the opportunity to expand my knowledge and expertise in the field over the last several years working as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner.
In 2021, I earned my Perinatal Mental Health Certification which represents the most comprehensive education in this specialty to date. I look forward to diving into my work in the field of women’s mental health and reproductive psychiatry in this new setting.

I am happy to announce that I am able to serve members of the armed forces and their families covered by Tricare insurance.

Zachary Beerman | Nurse Practitioner, PMHNP-BC
I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and a graduate of the University of Nebraska of Medical Center. I specialize in the treatment of adults who suffer from depression, anxiety, and ADHD. As a mental health provider, I utilize medications and talk therapy to create unique treatment plans for each of my patients that align with their goals. While working with me, I will get to know you as a person by listening to your thoughts and feelings, understand your life story, and learn about what you want to improve in order to serve you in the best way possible.
I enjoy working in mental health because I get to develop long-lasting relationships with each of my patients to support them through the good, the bad, and whatever else life may throw their way. I utilize the latest evidenced-based practice to ensure my patients are receiving high-quality care at every turn. I can’t wait to help you get started on the next chapter of your story.
MELINDA COLE | Therapist, LIMHP
We are all striving toward a feeling of wholeness – masterpieces in the works; beautifully made and continually being refined. Life sometimes doesn’t go the way we plan and can leave us feeling distant from that feeling of wholeness.

I am a Licensed Independent Mental Health Provider and have been providing mental health therapy services since 2019. In that time, I’ve helped individuals across all walks of life address and cope with depression, anxiety, stress, bipolar disorder, unexpected or big life changes, parenting, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, among many other concerns.

My goal as a therapist is to help create a safe space for you to express your worries, emotions, and concerns while also discovering new ways to cope, grow, and build skills to keep moving forward in whatever stage of life you’re in.
MITCHELL HOFER | Student Therapist
The purpose of therapy is for you to more deeply discover who you are, what you want, and how to get it. The philosophy underlying my work is that most psychogenic suffering stems from the following sources:
-
Unexamined trauma – painful experiences that subconsciously shape our core values, sense-of-self, and interactions with others
-
Existential dread: Fear that one’s life or suffering is meaningless or insignificant
-
Isolation anxiety: Feeling an impenetrable emotional or spiritual separateness from others
-
Identity anxiety: Distress that arises when one is not living authentically
-
Death anxiety: Distress generated by subconscious resistance to accepting one’s finite nature.
-
The burden of freedom: People often become “stuck” when they face resistance to living authentically. Nonetheless, we each bear sole responsibility for living purposefully and defining our own life’s meaning.

Beginning therapy is similar to taking a trip to an unknown destination with someone you don’t know well yet. The therapeutic journey can be intense, engaging, exciting, and collaborative. Together, we will explore how your current patterns of thinking, feeling, and acting took shape and have impacted your ability to live meaningfully and authentically.
This means that during our sessions we won’t focus on how you can control your emotions more completely; instead, we will focus on how you can feel your feelings and experiences—both joy and sorrow—with more depth and authenticity both in therapy and in the world.

I am honored to be invited into your voyage of self-discovery and empowerment, and so grateful our paths have converged.
