Quality Psychiatric Care, Wherever You Call Home.
Finding mental health care shouldn't mean having to travel far from home or feeling uncertain about whether you'll be understood. I believe everyone deserves access to psychiatric services that are approachable, respectful, and responsive to their individual needs.
As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, I'm especially grateful for the opportunity to provide care in my hometown of West Point, Nebraska, and to help expand access to mental health services in rural communities.
My approach emphasizes collaboration, open communication, and creating a judgment-free environment where patients feel comfortable discussing their concerns. Whether we're meeting in person or through telehealth, my goal is to build a relationship grounded in trust, understanding, and shared decisions about treatment.
What Working Together Looks Like
Beginning psychiatric care can feel unfamiliar, especially if you've never met with a psychiatric provider before. I want our appointments to feel like conversations in which you have the opportunity to ask questions, share your experiences, and participate in decisions about your care.
During an initial evaluation, we'll discuss the concerns that brought you to treatment, your personal and medical history, and the ways your symptoms may be affecting everyday life.
If medication is appropriate, we'll consider treatment options together, including their potential benefits, risks, and side effects. Follow-up appointments provide opportunities to discuss your progress, address concerns, and adjust treatment as needed.
I believe effective psychiatric care involves more than prescribing medication. It also means developing a relationship in which patients feel heard, respected, and supported throughout their treatment.
Areas of Focus

Anxiety, depression, and persistent stress can affect how we think, feel, and engage with everyday life. Together, we can explore patterns contributing to emotional distress and develop practical approaches for managing difficult experiences, strengthening coping skills, and finding greater balance.
Mood &
Bipolar Disorders

Living in a smaller community should not limit access to quality psychiatric services. I'm committed to helping make mental health care more accessible to individuals and families in rural Nebraska by providing a welcoming, judgment-free environment and flexible opportunities to receive care.

Virtual psychiatric appointments offer an alternative for patients who face challenges related to travel, distance, or busy schedules. Through secure telehealth services, eligible patients throughout Nebraska can access psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management while remaining connected to their provider.
